Cindy Woods - Legal & Policy Associate
Cindy Woods is an international human rights lawyer, admitted to practice in the state of New York. She currently serves as a Legal and Policy Associate at the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable (ICAR). Cindy leads ICAR’s work around issues of global governance, including the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles through National Action Plans (NAPs) on Business and Human Rights. Cindy graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2015, where she served as a Legal Research and Writing Fellow, a Public Interest Fellow, and Executive Editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law. Her writing has appeared in various human rights blogs and legal journals, including the Georgetown Journal of International Law, the Brazilian Journal of International Law, the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review, and the Notre Dame Journal of International and Comparative Law. She holds a Masters in Philosophy of Latin American Studies from the University of Cambridge (Darwin College), and Bachelors of Art in International Security Studies and Spanish from the University of Oklahoma, where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
